Get exposed to the use and application of the following plant and piping software.
• Autoplant.
• AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• PDMS.

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.

The training would amongst others focus on:
• Basic piping and plant terminologies.
• Pipe Fittings: Elbows, Flanges, Valves, Reducers, Tees, Caps, etc.
• Pipe size and method of joining pipe.
• Pound rating/Class of flanges.
• Codes and specification.
• Equipment Design (Using standard equipment module such as heat exchangers, compressors, storage tanks, pumps, reboilers etc. and also using primitives to design the equipment.
• Consistency checks.
• Structures.
• Piping and Instrument diagrams.

Also available are:
• Training Manual.
• Piping Ebooks.
• Design/Plant Diagrams.

Project: At the end of the training, a project involving the design of a prototype project would be given.

  1. I have always wanted to learn the rudiments and basics of piping alongside the computer application. Would this part be covered too?

    • Sure @Samuel. The training is all encompassing as it covers everything that you need to know about piping.
      Morever, its personalized and so you have more leverage.

  2. I am particularly interested in learning Autoplant application. What is the duration of the training and what is expected of me to know?

    • The duration of the training is one month. You only need to have the basic knowledge of autoCAD and you are good to go.
      Secondly, a good understanding of piping basics would be an added advantage.
